Blind Yoga: Feeling Over Seeing
Experience Blind Yoga, how vision impairment can teach you to tune into your own body and make mindful movements. There is an option for people to close eyes or wear eye mask (provided). Session includes a gentle yoga flow, starting with a meditation, and gentle warm up. Session will involve mostly ground poses and working up to a couple of appropriate upright poses. Guidance and teaching will focus on body range of motion, limits, breathing to encourage relaxation, and more. Session approximately 40 minutes with time after for people to share their experiences.
Jennifer is a licensed massage therapist, yoga teacher (200hr) through Red Head Yoga, tai chi for energy certificate from Tai Chi for Health Institute, Shamanic Healing through Foundation for Shamanic Studies, Body Love Work Certification through Centre of Excellence, Reiki Master/Teacher through ReikiSpace, and other areas of life/purpose coach through arts and self-work/love/growth.
